  • The People’s Festival of Innovation (PFI) 2023 is the second edition of an impactful event that brings together innovators, stakeholders, and experts from the global innovation ecosystem. The festival aims to showcase, accelerate, and scale biotech innovations from India under the themes of Deep-tech Innovations and Grassroots Innovations, addressing various sectors like Healthcare, Agriculture, Animal Health, Natural Resource Management, Environment, and Clean Energy.

  • The theme of PFI 2023 is "Scaling Innovations: From Idea to Impact." This theme highlights the journey of innovations, both grassroots and deep tech, from their conceptualization to making a tangible impact on society.

  • PFI 2023 is scheduled to take place from 28th November to 2nd December 2023 at the India International Centre (IIC) in Delhi.

  • Late-stage deep tech innovators (with TRL 6 and above), and early to late-stage grassroots innovators are eligible to apply and showcase their innovations at PFI 2023.

  • There is no registration fee for startups to participate in PFI 2023.

  • Shortlisted startups will receive guidance and support from the PFI 2023 Team to prepare for the festival, including mentorship, assistance in showcasing their innovations, and networking opportunities during the event.

  • The provided information will be shared with our associated partners and investors, enhancing the exposure and reach of your innovation.

  • Attending the festival on all 5 days is highly recommended to make the most of the curated sessions, networking opportunities, and interactions with the invited stakeholders. The innovators will be grouped into 3 cohorts for exhibition opportunities during the festival. Each cohort will be able to showcase their innovations and work at the Exhibition stalls for the designated 1 to 2 days during the festival. The specific date(s) for your exhibition will be communicated well in advance, allowing you ample time to make necessary arrangements. Please note that your presence on those designated days is absolutely mandatory. Under no circumstance should the stall be left unattended during the festival timings.

  • Attendees can expect a rich and diverse experience at PFI 2023, including:

    1. Showcasing cutting-edge innovations in various sectors

    2. Engaging in discussions, panels, and round table sessions on deep-tech and grassroots innovations

    3. High-level discussions involving innovators, industry experts, investors, policymakers, and international organizations.

    4. Networking opportunities, collaboration prospects, and market access for innovators, investors, and partners

    5. Exposure to success stories, impactful innovations, and the chance to interact directly with innovators.

    6. Yes, It is essential that a representative (rep, founder, etc.) is present on all the designated days for the entire day. The representative should be able to explain the details of your work to the visiting delegations, visitors, and stakeholders. If you foresee any issues pertaining to your availability and attendance during the designated days, you should inform the Organizers AT LEAST 20 days prior to enable alternate arrangements.

  • Innovators attending PFI 2023 can benefit from:

  • Investors attending PFI 2023 can:

    4. Enhance their networking, connect with co-investors, and explore collaboration prospects.

  • Partners can benefit from:

    1. Aligning their brand with innovation and showcasing commitment to social impact.

    2. Early access to cutting-edge technologies and potential collaborations with innovators.

    3. Networking with stakeholders, including innovators, investors, policymakers, and experts.

  • Yes, participants are responsible for arranging their travel and stay.

    However, for grassroots innovators who are unable to cover their travel & accommodation expenses, support through PFI 2023 will be assessed on an individual basis.
